Save Our Oceans
At Bridges Church, we are working to reduce our use of plastic to help our oceans and waterways. We have gone back to washing dishes and using our plates and cups instead of disposable dishes for most church events.
At our Historic Downtown Day event in October 2018, we had an activity station at our church where kids could get a blue Shark Drink with two gummy sharks swimming in their biodegradable cups as well as a card with ideas for families to reduce their use of plastic. Great idea, terribly cold day! We had winter coats on and only twenty people showed up. Next year, the sharks will come again...
